IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • The Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad will be receiving Family Reunification applications from the 14th September 2020 to 09th October 2020. Appointment requests need to be made at the application centre and appointments will be confirmed once approval from SEF (Portuguese Aliens and Borders Service) is received.

    All the original documents must be officially translated to Portuguese or English language (if applicable), attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and attestation must be valid ( 180 days )

    Affidavits have to be recent with MOFA attestation (less than one month)

    At the time of submission if documents are missing or attestation isn’t valid consulate shall not accept the application and submission officer have right to return the applicant

    This shall apply on every category

Appointment requests need to be made at the application centre and appointments will be confirmed once approval from SEF (Portuguese Aliens and Borders Service) is received.

  • Due to Covid 19 The Embassy of Portugal are not receiving more applications. There were limited slots and applicants who applied first received an appointment, The appointment process is automated. Customers have to wait until more slots are available in the future.
  • Temporary closure of VFS’ Visa Application Centers for Portugal
  • From 17 March 2020 The Embassy of Portugal will not accept any visa applications therefore the VACs in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad will not be accepting any applications for Portuguese visas
  • As a precautionary measure and in order to avoid the spread of the novel Coronavirus/ Covid-19, all applicants visiting the Visa Application Center are required to have their body temperature checked at the entrance. Those who have a fever will be asked to leave and return another day when their health improves.

  • Increased fees for visa applications
  • Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent
